Access

Every member of Myco is disabled and/or neurodivergent. We are therefore a capacity-led co-operative - we care deeply about access. We want the education we offer to be available to as many people as possible. However, we exist in a system that throws up barriers to this, so we’re not always able to do as much as we want to. We know that access to our site isn’t perfect, and so we’re always open to discussions about how to improve things.

Physical space

Platt Fields Market Garden has a mixture of grass, bricked paths, and gravel paths. There are toilets on site, including disabled toilets accessible by a ramp that you'll need to ask a member of staff to bring out.

The Myco learning space is weatherproof but not heated, so the temperature will vary depending on the weather. We also have a small step to access the space that some chairs can handle, but we also have a kerb ramp on hand if that’s useful!

We are in the process of re-fitting our insulated shipping container to be used as a learning space which will include a wide (1.1m) door for chair access.
