Wild Walk: Prestwich Forest Park
Join us for a wander through Prestwich Forest Park, a beautiful wooded parkland to the north of Manchester.
Time & Location
29 Oct 2023, 12:00 – 16:00
Prestwich Forest Park, Philips Park MTB Trail, Whitefield, Prestwich, Manchester M45 7QJ, UK
Who can come?
This event is open to everyone! Mushroom enthusiasts, nature nerds and people who just like getting outdoors are all welcome. Well-behaved dogs who are kept on a lead when necessary are also very welcome to join.
What is a wild walk?
They’re a chance for us to learn, connect and enjoy nature together - we explore a green space at a leisurely pace, pointing out interesting plants or fungi we come across. Sometimes we’ll talk about wild food and tasty things you can forage, but this isn’t the primary focus. It’s a space for us to share our knowledge rather than flaunt it - we’re far from professional botanists so can’t identify everything and encourage others to share what they know too!
