Wild Walk: Delamere Forest
Join us for a wander through Delamere forest, a beautiful woodland nestled in Cheshire.
Time & Location
23 Sept 2023, 12:30 – 21:30
Delamere Forest, Delamere Forest, Forest Centre Car Park, Northwich CW8 2JD, UK
Who can come?
This event is open to everyone! Mushroom enthusiasts, nature nerds and people who just like getting outdoors are all welcome. Well-behaved dogs who are kept on a lead when necessary are also very welcome to join.
What is a wild walk?
They’re a chance for us to learn, connect and enjoy nature together - we explore a green space at a leisurely pace, pointing out interesting plants or fungi we come across. Sometimes we’ll talk about wild food and tasty things you can forage, but this isn’t the primary focus. It’s a space for us to share our knowledge rather than flaunt it - we’re far from professional botanists so can’t identify everything and encourage others to share what they know too!
Meet at Platt Fields Market Garden Car Park at 11:30am for a lift in the van from Manchester to Delamere Forest. Meet in Delamere Forest car park at 12.30 if you are happy making your own way there.
